13 Cerro Azul

A rare offering in the heart of Tesuque Village, this adobe and frame home embodies Northern New Mexico style with a red, pitched roof, lovely covered portal, and a landscaped courtyard with Kiva fireplace and attractive water feature. At the end of a quiet lane that passes by pasture and apple trees, this cozy two-story home also has a detached barn that could be used as a garage. Set on about half an acre, the property is lush with mature aspen trees and other plantings, providing a quiet oasis from town life but only about 15 minutes to downtown Santa Fe. The property is also within walking distance to local favorites: Tesuque Village Market and El Nido Restaurant. The main level of the home is centered around an open great room with living, kitchen, and dining areas which feature vigas, plaster walls, and tile flooring. The kitchen is nicely appointed with beautiful wood cabinets, a kitchen island topped with Silestone counter, and updated appliances. A powder room is on this level as well as a laundry room and office area with built-in desk and shelving. New wood flooring has been laid on the gentle stairs and landing that lead to the upper level where there are three bedrooms and two baths plus a den area. Through the charming dormer windows, you can enjoy the feeling of being surrounded by deciduous trees. Not far from Santa Fe National Forest access at the Tesuque Creek/Winsor Trailhead. A new septic system has just been installed. The upstairs carpeting has been removed to show the original hardwood floors that could easily be refinished.
